Orrick has advised Vito Ventures and Project A on their seed investment in German startup Artisense, a developer of artificial intelligence (AI) supported solutions for computer vision.
Artisense received EUR 4.1 million from Vito Ventures, Project A and business angel Chris Hitchen. The funding will enable the continued development of the Artisense software and the development of integrated solutions in areas like autonomous driving, robotics, dynamic 3D mapping and data science together with industry leading companies.

Project A Ventures GmbH & Co. KG is a venture capital arm of Otto Group GmbH specializing in acceleration, incubation, and early investments. The Firm, led by Uwe Horstmann, Thies Sander, Christian Weiss, and Florian Heinemann, is based in Berlin.
Project A is an international VC investor located in Berlin that invests in passionate early-phase ventures and provides exclusive access to a team of 100 operative experts from areas such as IT & product, brand building, business intelligence or recruiting.
Vito Ventures and Project A were advised by Düsseldorf partner Sven Greulich (Picture), who regularly advises leading startups and corporate VC investors on financing rounds and M&A transactions. The team also included John Harrison, Christian Schröder, Robert Weinhold, Stefan Schultes-Schnitzlein, Markus Piontek, Peter Connors, André Zimmermann and Louisa Kallhoff.
