Arbonia AG’s Refinancing of Its Existing Syndicated Credit Facility

Niederer Kraft Frey advised UBS Switzerland AG, acting as coordinator and arranger, and Credit Suisse (Switzerland) Ltd. and Zürcher Kantonalbank, acting as arrangers, on the deal. Baker McKenzie acted as legal counsel to Arbonia AG.

Arbonia announced the refinancing of a syndicated loan amounting to CHF 350 million (originally running until 14 September 2021) early and with better conditions and warranties, which will have a positive effect on the financial expenses.

The new syndicated loan of CHF 250 million was issued by a consortium of banks within and outside of Switzerland under the leadership of UBS, Credit Suisse and ZKB and was substantially oversubscribed. With a term of five years, the new lending facility offers the option of extending the contract twice by one year each time.

Arbonia AG is a SIX Swiss Exchange listed construction component supplier with offices and distribution companies in more than 70 countries worldwide, a total workforce of 8,300 employees and revenues in excess of CHF 1.4 billion per annum.
