Eversheds Sutherland has advised Aon on its collaboration with Goldman Sachs to establish a new investment service for captive insurers.
The service combines two complementary components to address client needs. Aon offers individual strategic advice, fund/manager research and execution services through its experienced global team of investment specialists and practitioners. These elements are combined with a specially tailored investment platform provided by Goldman Sachs, using its market-leading Liquidity Solutions Portal, Mosaic.
Together, the new service offers a one-stop shop for captive clients to invest their assets in a range of mutual funds, as an alternative to low interest-bearing cash deposits, and manage these investments with the platform providing trading functionality, access to daily portfolio information and automated reporting.
The Eversheds Sutherland team, led by commercial Partner Craig Rogers (Picture), provided advice to Aon on all aspects of the collaboration.
The global law firm’s team comprised: Partners Richard Batchelor, Deborah Hutton (both financial services), and Andrew Terry (commercial), Principal Associates Jamie Dunlop (financial services), and Kirstin Mccracken (commercial), Senior Associates Nal Townley and Rebecca Sherry (both commercial), and Associate Zoe Chui (corporate).
The Aon legal team was led by Associate General Counsel, Christopher Douglass, whilst Goldman Sachs were advised by in-house counsel.
