Americas Energy’s Acquisition of Solarity Spa

Prieto and Echeverría-Ilharreborde Abogados advised on the deal

The Americas Energy Fund II, a fund managed by SCL Energía, has acquired a controlling stake in Chilean solar panel company Solarity Spa for US$7.5m.

SCL Energía Activa S.A. is a private equity firm specializing in buyout and growth capital investments. It seeks to invest in midsize companies and small and medium size plants or projects. The Firm, led by Juan Alberto Fernández Dávila, Joaquín Cornejo Moya, Carlos Alfredo Fuentes Pérez, Eduardo Vicuña Baeza and José Bertrán Spichiger, is based in Santiago.

Solarity SpA sells solar energy. The company designs and installs solar panels for the users. The company was founded in 2014 and is based in Santiago.

Prieto advised Americas Energy Found II with Patricio Prieto Larraín (Picture), Maite Larrañaga, Pilar Araya, Cristián Bay-Schmith and Cristóbal Raby.

Echeverría-Ilharreborde advised Solarity Spa with Pedro Echeverría and Juan Pablo Wiegand.
