American Tower’s $1.85 Billion Acquisition of Eaton Towers

Paul, Weiss represented American Tower Corporation in its acquisition of Eaton Towers Holdings Limited for $1.85 billion, including debt.

The deal, which closed on January 2, adds approximately 5,700 communications sites to American Tower’s African portfolio, including in Burkina Faso, Kenya, Ghana, Niger and Uganda.

American Tower Corporation is a real estate investment trust that owns, operates, and develops wireless communications and broadcast towers in the United States.

Eaton Towers Limited provides telecommunication services. The Company acquires, builds, and develops telecom towers for mobile operators in the United Kingdom and Africa.
