American Industrial Partners’ $3 Billion Fundraising

Simpson Thacher represented American Industrial Partners in connection with its seventh private equity fund, which raised $3 billion in commitments.

The fund held a first and final closing at the end of last month and was heavily oversubscribed. Simpson Thacher has represented American Industrial Partners in connection with each of its last five funds.

American Industrial Partners is an operationally oriented middle-market private equity firm that makes control investments in North American-based industrial businesses serving domestic and global markets.
