Ashurst has advised Allegro Funds on its acquisition of Greenlit Brands General Merchandise Pty Ltd, which includes brands Harris Scarfe, Best & Less and Postie.

The GBGM group of businesses has in excess of 300 stores and employs over 6000 people.

Greenlit Brands General Merchandise was founded in 1998. The Company’s line of business includes holding or owning securities of companies other than banks.

Allegro Funds is a private equity firm. The Company offers acquisitions, restructurings, turnarounds, management buyouts and buyins, and expansion and replacement capital. The Company is based in Australia and was founded in 2004.
