Vinge has advised Alecta on the deal.
The Swedish pension fund made its first investment of SEK 1.6 billion in green energy by entering as a shareholder into Stena Renewable AB, of which SEK 600 million will be invested over a 5-year period.
The investment will make Alecta the shared second largest owner, with 20 percent of the company. The other shareholders of the company are Stena Adactum, AMF and Norway’s largest pension company, KLP.
Stena Renewable AB has one of the largest operational portfolios of onshore wind in Sweden, producing 315 MW and with close to 600 MW under construction. In 2024, Stena Renewable is projected to have close to 900 MW in production and a continued rapid yearly growth. The wind parks are mainly located in the southern parts of Sweden.
The Vinge’s team mainly consisted of Filip Öhrner, Peter Sundgren (Picture), Manne Bergström, Carl Fredrik Wachtmeister and Johan Cederblad.
