Albemarle Corporation’s Negotiation to exploit the Chile’s largest lithium reserves

Porzio Ríos García and Bulnes, Urrutia & Bustamante have advised on the Deal

Corporación de Fomento de la Producción (Corfo), Rockwood Litio Limitada, Rockwood Inc. and Foote Minera Limitada (Albemarle Corporation) successfully ri-negotiated the convention for the explotation of Litio in Salar de Atacama.

According to the US Geological Survey (USGS), Chile has more than 57% of the world’s lithium reserves and it is the second largest producer in the world.

Albemarle Corporation develops, manufactures, and markets engineered specialty chemicals worldwide. The company, led by Luther C. Kissam IV is based in Charlotte (US).
