Ålandsbanken Abp’s Consent Solicitation For Its Bonds

Castrén & Snellman advised Ålandsbanken Abp and Borgo AB.

Ålandsbanken Abp announced a consent solicitation for its up to SEK 2,500,000,000 covered bond due in 2022 and its later redemption of all outstanding notes pursuant to the amendments made to the terms and conditions of the covered bond during the consent solicitation process.

The Bank of Åland was founded on Åland in 1919 and the group with its three subsidiaries today has over 800 employees. The bank was listed on the stock exchange in 1942 and has operations in Åland as well as in Finland and Sweden. The CEO is Peter Wiklöf.
