Advanced Contracting Services’ Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings

The Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors of Advanced Contracting Services (ACS), a Bronx-based contractor of concrete foundation and super-structures, has hired Lowenstein Sandler as legal counsel in its Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings.

Created as a subsidiary of Navillus Tile, ACS, along with two other non-union construction companies, faces allegations of evading obligations to contribute pension and welfare benefits under collective bargaining agreements.
