50 years: Law firm Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek celebrates its anniversary

Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek

Business law firm Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek is celebrating its 50th anniversary these days. Lawyers Dr. Hans Günter Heuking and Dr. Wolfgang Kühn laid the foundation for today’s law firm in Düsseldorf in 1971. Now, five decades later, Heuking offers legal services with a team of more than 1,100 across eight offices in Germany and one office in Switzerland.

“We are better positioned than ever, have steadily expanded, and we are profitable together with our clients,” said Dr. Andreas Urban, Managing Partner of the law firm. The number of lawyers has risen sharply in recent years: in 2010 the firm counted 220 lawyers, today there are almost twice as many. The law firm’s clients include not only SMEs, but also DAX-listed corporations, international and public-sector clients. The firm’s success is not only due to the high quality of its advice and its focus on client needs: “Our success is our clients’ success. A lawyer’s aspiration is the will to be successful for their clients,” the Managing Partner pointed out.

The firm’s international orientation has always formed another building block for its success. Using non-exclusive cooperation with other full-service law firms around the globe, Heuking meets its clients’ requests in an optimum way at all times. “We do not need to be represented everywhere in the world, but we accompany our clients in their investments abroad and find the best law firms for their needs, even outside of our network,” said Dr. Andreas Urban.

Due to the corona pandemic, Heuking is scheduling a digital event to celebrate the anniversary with the entire team. In addition, Heuking presents the firm in a supplement in Rheinische Post newspaper on September 1. In the 8-page special supplement, Heuking features a small number of the people behind the law firm’s success.
