Xodus Group’s Acquisition of Green Light Environmental

Squire Patton Boggs advised Xodus Group on the deal.

The international energy consultancy Xodus Group executed the acquisition of Perth-based Green Light Environmental.

Green Light advises on environmental approvals, reporting and compliance management and environmental impact assessments. Xodus provides engineering and advisory services to clients in the oil and gas, LNG, renewables and utilities industries worldwide.

The two organisations have worked together on a number of projects over the past years and identified ongoing synergies as a key factor in the decision to join forces.

The acquisition marks a continuation of the UK-based consultancy’s growth trajectory since it established Australian operations in 2012. The acquisition comes off the back of a successful period in which Xodus has won significant new business in the region.

Green Light managing director Petrina Raitt founded eBase, a cloud-based environmental impact assessment platform, and Xodus confirms that it will continue to utilise and develop this product.

Squire Patton Boggs advised Xodus with a team led by corporate partner and Perth managing partner Tony Chong (Picture), assisted by partner Richard Horton, senior associate Michael Muratore and associate Blair Strickland.
