Harper Macleod advised Halfords on the acquisition of McConechy’s Tyre Service Limited, one of the largest independent garage chains in the UK.
The acquired business is made up of 60 sites and 100 vans across Scotland and the north of England, providing tyre fitting and vehicle servicing, maintenance and repair for both retail and commercial vehicles.
The acquisition supports the growth of Halfords’ services proposition, providing customers with motoring services across garages, retail stores and mobile vans. It increases the Halfords services footprint, providing customers with access to over 900 service locations across the UK.
Halfords Group plc is a British retailer of car parts, car enhancement, tools, camping and touring equipment and bicycles operating in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
