Swissquote’s offering its clients the ability to participate in initial coin offerings (ICOs) through its platform

Swissquote Bank SA announced that it was offering its clients the ability to participate in initial coin offerings (ICOs) through its platform.

Using this new service, Swissquote’s clients will be able to acquire and hold in custody digital tokens through their bank account, without having to set up and manage their own blockchain wallet.

The first ICO to which Swissquote’s clients can participate is that of LakeDiamond SA, a spin-off of the Ecole polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) which produces high-grade diamonds in laboratories.

Lenz & Staehelin advises Swissquote in connection with its ICO services. The team is led by partner Fedor Poskriakov (Banking and Finance) and includes associate Ariel Ben Hattar (Banking and Finance, Corporate and M&A).
