SPIC’s Acquisition of 33% Stake in GNA I and II GNA thermoelectric projects

China’s top state electricity generator SPIC has acquired a 33% stake in two LNG-to-power projects in Brazil’s Rio de Janeiro state.

The company signed a binding agreement with Prumo, bp and Siemens on Monday to join the Gás Natural Açu (GNA) I and GNA II projects under development at Port of Açu.

GNA is a project company held by Prumo, BP and Siemens.
