Scotiabank’s Acquisition of Banco Dominicano del Progreso, S.A.

Scotiabank has executed the acquisition of Banco Dominicano del Progreso, a bank with operations in the Dominican Republic.

The acquisition will make Scotiabank the Dominican Republic’s fourth-largest loan provider and fourth-largest full-service bank as measured by assets.

The Bank of Nova Scotia provides retail, commercial, international, corporate, investment and private banking services and products. The bank, led by Brian J Porter, Rajagopal Viswanathan and Barbara F Mason, in 2017 recorded CAD$ 36 Billion Revenues.
