Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP has advised RFR Holding GmbH and SIGNA Prime Selection AG, on a 50:50 joint venture, on the acquisition of a German-Dutch real estate portfolio from Allianz Real Estate GmbH.
The portfolio includes “Opernplatz 2” a prime asset that is prominently located close to the “Alte Oper”, a concert hall by the high-end Goethestraße shopping quarter in Frankfurt am Main. The investment offers the unique opportunity to develop a high-quality mixed-use building comprising office, retail and dining spaces in the heart of Frankfurt’s city center.
The portfolio also includes the large scale retail property “Beursgallery” on Rotterdam’s popular frequented shopping street, the Hoogstraat.
The RFR Group currently oversees some USD 13 billion worth of real estate assets worldwide. Headquartered in Frankfurt/Main, RFR Management GmbH is responsible for the property and asset management of the RFR Group’s entire German real estate portfolio.
Signa Prime Selection AG operates real estate related businesses. The Company develops real estate, manages real estate investment funds, and, through a subsidiary, operates medical centers and offers consulting services.
