Quantum Capital Partners’s Acquisition Of GKN Wheels Carpenedolo S.p.A.

Quantum Capital Partners announced that Gianetti Ruote Holding GmbH, a company owned by the Quantum Opportunity Fund II GmbH & Co. KG, acquired 100% of the shares of GKN Wheels Carpenedolo S.p.A. from GKN Wheels Group.

The company has been renamed to FAD Wheels S.r.l.. Through this strategic move, the Quantum Group will strengthen its position as an important steel wheel manufacturer for both commercial as well as agriculture, construction and industrial vehicles as well as forklift trucks in the European market. In 2018, the Quantum Group set the cornerstone for building a group in this market by acquiring the Italian steel wheel manufacturer Gianetti Ruote S.r.l. (“Gianetti”) from Accuride Corporation. The new Gianetti Group will have a total capacity of over 2,000,000 wheels p.a. across two Italian plants located in Carpenedolo (Brescia) and Ceriano Laghetto (Monza and Brianza).

Headquartered near Brescia (Italy), FAD Wheels is a leading producer of high-quality steel wheels (8″ to 34″ in diameter) for agriculture and construction vehicles, forklift trucks and caravans. Supplying Europe’s leading commercial vehicle OEMs and resellers, the company can look back on a corporate history of over 65 years. The strategic acquisition of FAD Wheels strengthens the group’s market position and expands its production capacities as well as the technical and operational know-how in the field of agriculture and forklift wheels.

Giovannelli e Associati assisted GKN Wheels & Structures Group on the sale of the 100% of the shares of GKN Wheels Carpenedolo S.p.A. with a team led by partner Fabrizio Scaparro and comprised associate Paola Cairoli and trainee Camilla Bolognini for the corporate aspects, partner Eugenio Romita and associate Antonello Lops for the tax aspects, and by of counsel Giuseppe Matarazzo for the labour aspects.
