PFA’s $1 Billion Acquisition of Multifamily Portfolio

Jones Day represented Domain Capital Group, designated asset manager to U.S. multifamily operator Simpson Housing, in a joint venture with Danish pension fund PFA.

Danish pension fund PFA has expanded its direct real estate exposure through a joint venture with Denver-based US multifamily operator Simpson Housing.

The Copenhagen-based investor secured a 49% stake in a $1.05 billion portfolio that includes apartment buildings in Austin, Charlotte, Denver, Houston, Nashville, Phoenix, Portland, and Seattle and comprises nearly 3,500 units.

PFA Pension was founded in 1917 and is the largest privately owned life insurance company in Denmark.

Simpson Housing is a national, fully-integrated real estate development and portfolio management firm.
