Olam International Limited’s Sale Of A Stake In ARISE Integrated Industrial Platforms To Africa Finance Corporation


Linklaters advised Olam International Limited on the on the sale to Africa Finance Corporation of a stake in ARISE Integrated Industrial Platforms.

Following this transaction, Olam and AFC will hold stakes of 49.5% and 50.5% of ARISE IIP respectively.

This transaction is part of the ongoing reorganisation of Gabon Special Economic Zone (GSEZ) activities, set up in 2010 by Olam and the Republic of Gabon in three main units: Arise Port & Logistics, Arise Industrial Zones and Arise Infrastructure Services.

ARISE IIP currently comprises Gabon Special Economic Zone in Nkok, a 1,126 ha multi-purpose area. Investments in further industrial zones in West Africa are in the process of being finalised.
