Morgan Advanced Materials’ Acquisition of Carbo San Luis

Morgan Advanced Materials executed the acquisition of Carbo San Luis.

This comes after a 22-year strong partnership and ensures the continued growth and development of the business. The acquisition comes into force on 10 June 2020.

Carbo San Luis started in 1956 when The Carborundum Co. (Founded in 1891) bought the manufacturing site for Abrasives in Campana (Buenos Aires, ARG). It was in 1978 when The Carborundum plant started manufacturing Refractories. But only in 1986, The Carborundum manufacturing is finally installed in San Luis City.

Morgan Advanced Materials seeks to use advanced materials to help make more efficient use of the world’s resources, and is a global manufacturer of specialist products, using carbon, advanced ceramics and composites. The company is headquartered in Windsor, Berkshire, United Kingdom, and is listed on the London Stock Exchange.

The Thermal Ceramics division produces advanced ceramic products and systems for thermal insulation (in high temperature environments). This ensures engineered products and systems, or equipment can perform during demanding applications, crucially preserving the safety of individuals.
