Ministry of Energy and Environmental Protection of Ukraine’s Development Of GHG Emissions Reports Legislation


Baker McKenzie advised the World Bank and the Ministry of Energy and Environmental Protection of Ukraine in its task to develop the primary and secondary legislation relevant to the monitoring and reporting of greenhouse gases emissions data, procedures for accreditation of verifiers and verification of GHG emissions reports.

The legal assistance included, among other things, analysis of the existing national and EU legislation on monitoring, reporting and verification of GHG emissions; elaboration on recommendations and proposals; review and analysis of the outcomes of public hearings; and support to the Ministry during the reconciliation procedures with regard to the draft law.
