Linklaters has advised Macquarie Infrastructure Debt Investment Solutions in completing fundraising for its Macquarie Global Infrastructure Debt Fund, raising USD 645 million of investor commitments.
The fund attracted commitments from pension funds and insurance companies from the UK, The Netherlands, Italy, Japan, Singapore and Portugal and will finance infrastructure projects around the world, with debt investments in 18 investment grade infrastructure businesses to date. With a diverse pool of investments, the fund invests in transport, utilities and energy infrastructure and currently has more than 25 per cent of assets held in in the solar, onshore and offshore wind sectors.
The Linklaters team was led by partner Matthew Keogh (Picture) and included Counsel Clare Baker and Associates Emily Simmons and Donald Corbett. Specialist US tax advice was also provided by US tax counsel Max Levine.
