Investcorp’s Joint Venture with Aberdeen Standard Investments


Shearman & Sterling advised Investcorp on the launch of a joint venture with Aberdeen Standard Investments that will invest in infrastructure projects in Gulf Cooperation Council countries.

The Firms plan to raise between $800 million and $1 billion. The new initiative will actively target greenfield and brownfield social and core essential infrastructure assets in sectors including healthcare, education, utilities, social housing, smart cities, roads and rail.

Investcorp, founded in 1982, is a global investment company with 390 employees in Europe and worldwide. The company focuses on investment opportunities in medium-sized companies with strong management, sound finances, leading positions in their sector and good growth potential.
