IDB Invest, the Inter-American Investment Corporation, closed on a $5 million secured loan facility to Companex (Bolivia) S.A., a sociedad anónima organized and existing under the laws of the Plurinational State of Bolivia (the Borrower).
The proceeds of the loan will be used by the Borrower to finance its working capital requirements, which include purchases of merchandise produced in the member countries of IDB Invest and subsequently sold in Bolivia and the extension of loans to its customer base consisting of small grocery stores throughout Bolivia.
Hunton Andrews Kurth advised IDB Invest with a team included Partner Vera Rechsteiner (Picture), and Associates Ignacio Hirigoyen and Christopher Peña.
