Huarong Investment Stock’s Privatization


Kirkland & Ellis advised Huatai Financial Holdings (Hong Kong) Limited, as financial adviser to Huarong International Financial Holdings Limited on the deal.

Huarong International Financial Holdings Limited (HKSE: 993) (HRIF) announced the proposed privatization of Huarong Investment Stock Corporation Limited (HKSE: 2277) (HRIV). The transaction was announced on July 6, 2020.

The privatization will be implemented by way of a scheme of arrangement involving a conditional share exchange offer in which shares of HRIF will be offered as consideration for the cancellation of the shares of HRIV.

Huarong International Financial Holdings Limited, through its subsidiaries, trades and brokers securities, bullion, forex, futures and options, as well as provides loan and margin financing, and asset management services.

Huarong Investment Stock Corporation Limited, is an investment holding company mainly engaged in the direct investment.
