Baker McKenzie and Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher advised on the deal
Goldman Sachs executed a $34 million investment in Ualá, a personal financial management mobile app, electronic payment processor and issuer of MasterCard prepaid cards developed by Bancar Technologies Limited.
The investment by Goldman Sachs was executed by its participation as lead investor in the latest funding round of Bancar Technologies Limited, the sole shareholder of Bancar Tecnología S.A.U.
Baker McKenzie advised Goldman Sachs with a team including Gabriel G?mez-Giglio (Picture), Francisco Fernández-Rostello, Cecilia Máspero, Geraldine Mirelman, Felipe Graham and Ayelén León.
Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher advised Goldman Sachs with Richard Birns, Drew McLelland, Eric Cohen, Meghan Hungate, Brenda Rivera and Ella Alves Capone.
Hughes Hubbard & Reed represented Ualá on the deal with a team including Ken Lefkowitz, Andy Braiterman, Gerold Niggemann, Michael Traube and Matt Syrkin.
