Hengeler Mueller advised Otto Group on sale of Sportscheck to Galeria Karstadt Kaufhof.
The Otto Group has decided to sell its Sportscheck GmbH group company, headquartered in Unterhaching near Munich, to Galeria Karstadt Kaufhof. Following successful completion of the deal, Sportscheck GmbH is to be integrated into the omnichannel retail portfolio of Galeria Karstadt Kaufhof. Both parties have already signed a corresponding contractual agreement. The sale remains subject to approval by the German Federal Cartel Office.
Otto (GmbH & Co KG) operates as an e-commerce company. The Company is engaged in the business areas of multichannel retailing, financial services, and services. Otto serves customers worldwide.
SportScheck GmbH provides different products for sports field. The Company offers sports equipments, clothing for men, women, and children, shoes, bags, and other related accessories. SportScheck operates in Germany.
