Equistone’s Acquisition of Heras From CRH plc.


Clifford Chance Amsterdam advised Equistone, one of Europe’s leading mid-market private equity firms, on the acquisition of Heras from CRH plc.

The financial terms of the transaction are undisclosed and the acquisition remains subject to clearance from the relevant competition authorities.

Founded in 1952, Heras provides mobile and permanent perimeter protection systems and products including fencing systems, manual and automated gates, hostile vehicle mitigation barriers and electronic perimeter detection products. The company has a strong European presence, with sales offices in the Netherlands, United Kingdom, Sweden, Norway, Germany and France. Its production facilities are in the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Sweden and the UK. Heras has over 1,100 employees and generates annual revenues of over €220 million.

Equistone is an independent investment firm, which operates across France, Germany, Switzerland and the UK, investing as a strategic partner alongside management teams.
