Kirkland & Ellis advised affiliates of EIG Global Energy Partners on the investment.
EIG Global Energy Partners invested $400 million into NGL Energy Partners LP (NYSE: NGL), in which certain investment funds managed or sub-advised by EIG purchased an aggregate amount of $400 million of newly established Class D Preferred Units and also received warrants to purchase Common Units of NGL. NGL will use the proceeds in connection with an acquisition of produced water pipeline transportation and disposal assets from Mesquite Disposals Unlimited, LLC.
Barclays acted as financial advisor and placement agent for NGL. Winston & Strawn LLP acted as legal counsel to NGL on the Mesquite transaction. Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP and Paul Hastings LLP served as legal counsel to NGL on the financing transactions. Kirkland & Ellis LLP acted as legal counsel to EIG and FSEP.
