Hogan Lovells advises Norddeutsche Landesbank on the update of the EUR 10 billion debt issuance programme of the NORD/LB Luxembourg S.A. Covered Bond Bank
The programme enables the issuance of mortgage bonds under Luxembourg law, the so called “lettres de gage”. Currently Luxembourg is the first country in the world to introduce a law on green covered bonds, including a new category of green mortgage bonds, the so called “lettres de gage énergies renouvelables”. The NORD/LB Luxembourg S.A. Covered Bond Bank wants to use the opportunities of this new mortgage bond category and adjust the programme accordingly.
Hogan Lovells has advised NORD/LB on the contract arrangements and negotiations with the other banks.
