Dragon Mining’s $12.8 Million Initial Public Offering

King & Wood Mallesons (KWM) advised Altus Capital Limited as the sponsor, Get Nice Securities Limited and Sun Hung Kai Investment Services Limited as underwriters under the laws of Hong Kong on the listing of Dragon Mining Limited (Dragon Mining, HKEX Stock Code: 1712) on the Main Board of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (HKEX) under Chapter 18 of the Listing Rules.

Dragon Mining, incorporated in Australia and an established Nordic player principally engaged in gold exploration, mining and processing with operating mines, pre-production mining assets and production plants in both Sweden and Finland, was delisted from the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) on 19 October 2018 and listed on the HKEX on 5 November 2018. The listing comprised a public offering for a total of 50,000,000 offer shares, priced at HK$2.03 per share. The total funds raised from the share offer were approximately HK$101 million. The KWM Hong Kong team acted on the Hong Kong listing.

Following KWM’s representation of OPUS Group’s first successful delisting from the ASX in conjunction with the listing on the HKEX in October 2018 (KWM acted as Hong Kong and Australian counsel to the issuer), the completion of Dragon Mining’s listing marks the second of such transaction.

The KWM Hong Kong team was led by partner Candy Chan (Picture), with support from associates Jonathan Tsang and Omina Leung, trainee solicitor Andrew Watson and legal manager Nicholas Lee.
