Broadcom’s $130 Billion Proposal for Qualcomm

Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz, Latham & Watkins and Paul, Weiss advise on the mega deal

Qualcomm Incorporated recieved an unsolicited proposal from Singapore-based chipmaker Broadcom Limited.

Broadcom’s proposed cash-and-stock acquisition values Qualcomm at $130 billion, including $25 billion in net debt. The Qualcomm Board of Directors will assess the proposal in order to pursue the course of action that is in the best interests of Qualcomm shareholders. Paul, Weiss is also representing Qualcomm in its pending $47 billion acquisition of NXP Semiconductors N.V.
