Anglo American’s $650 Million Senior Notes Offering

Shearman & Sterling advised Anglo American on its offering of $650 million 4.500% senior notes due 2028. The notes were issued by Anglo American Capital plc and guaranteed by Anglo American plc.

Anglo American, headquartered in the U.K., is one of the world’s largest mining companies and is listed on both the London (FTSE 100 Index) and Johannesburg stock exchanges. Anglo American, a global leader in the production of platinum and diamonds, has significant interests in metallurgical and thermal coal, copper and iron ore and manganese metals. The company, led by Stuart John Chambers, Mark Cutifani and Stephen Thomas Pearce, in 2017 recorded £2.038 Billion Revenues.
