Dechert LLP has advised American Express Global Business Travel (GBT) on the proposed acquisition of the business travel division of DER Touristik Business Travel Division from REWE Group.
The deal is conditioned on receipt of antitrust approvals and other customary conditions.
American Express GBT is a multinational travel management company that offers business travel services in nearly 120 countries worldwide. DER Touristik is a leading travel and tourism company in German-speaking countries with several brands, including the Business Travel Division, which offers a range of services to professionally and efficiently manage business trips and corporate events. REWE Group is a German diversified retail and tourism co-operative group.
