The acquisition of this international supplier of material database and material information systems with a focus on plastics will allow Altair to create a comprehensive, high-fidelity plastics database. Details of the transaction were not disclosed.

M-Base Engineering + Software GmbH, which is headquartered in Aachen, Germany, is a world-leading provider of material databases, material information systems, product information systems and material-related simulation software.
