Alleghany Properties’ $28 Million Sale of Entitled Land to Natomas Development Partners

Blank Rome LLP represented Alleghany Properties LLC (“Alleghany Properties”), a subsidiary of Alleghany Corporation (NYSE: Y), in connection with its $28+ million sale of 76.45 acres of entitled land in the North Natomas Area of the City of Sacramento to Natomas Development Partners, LLC, an affiliate of Hines Development Corporation, for development of a large office campus for Centene Corporation, consisting of up to 1.5 million square feet of office space for the employees of Centene Corporation.

Headquartered in Sacramento, California, Alleghany Properties owns over 300 acres of property in various land use categories ranging from multi-family residential to commercial. Alleghany Properties also makes investments in California low income housing tax credit limited liability companies.

The transaction closed on September 13, 2018.
