Airon Corporation’s Licensing Agreement With GE Healthcare

Morgan Lewis advised Airon Corporation on the deal.

Airon Corporation, a privately held Florida-based company specializing in high-tech pneumatic life support products, has licensed its pNeuton Model A ventilator design to GE Healthcare.

The pNeuton Model A-E ventilator, which is powered by Airon’s pneumatic technology, does not require electricity or batteries and provides oxygen with pressure to keep the lungs open and assist breathing for critically ill patients.

This licensing agreement will start generating production of necessary ventilators that will be manufactured by Ford Motor Company. Production of 50,000 ventilators is planned for the next 100 days and, after the initial 100-day period, the collaboration will generate 30,000 more units per month as needed.

To make this all happen, the agreement provides for Airon to license its ventilator design to GE Healthcare. Ford will provide its manufacturing capabilities to GE Healthcare to produce the ventilators. Production of the ventilators is expected to take place at Ford’s plant in Ypsilanti, Michigan.

Established in 1997, Airon Corporation is a team of healthcare, manufacturing and marketing professionals dedicated to bringing to market high-technology pneumatic life support products for emergency medicine and critical care, throughout the world.

GE Healthcare provides medical technologies, digital infrastructure, data analytics and decision support tools that help healthcare professionals diagnose, treat and monitor their patients.
