Slaughter and May advised GE Aviation on an agreement to sell its aerostructures business at Hamble, UK to Aernnova.
The Hamble facility is a leading supplier of major civil and military aircraft structures in hi-tech composites, metallic, acrylics and hybrid structures.
The disposal also includes specific assets at GE Aviation’s facility in Suzhou, China, and the Suzhou facility will continue to manufacture components for the Airbus A320 and A350 XWB programs for the sold business.
GE Aviation, a subsidiary of General Electric, is headquartered in Evendale, Ohio, outside Cincinnati. GE Aviation is among the top aircraft engine suppliers, and offers engines for the majority of commercial aircraft.
Aernnova Aerospace manufactures aircraft components. The Company offers wings, rear fuselage, empennages, movable surfaces, nacelles, and other metallic components. Aernnova Aerospace serves customers worldwide.
